NSW Telco Authority is responsible for developing and implementing a sector wide policy and operational framework for mobile radio and related services, including spectrum management.
As part of the spectrum management function, the Authority is monitoring the progress of NSW agencies with the ACMA 400 MHz transition timelines and providing a coordination role for NSW input to various spectrum policy issues. In addition, the Authority provides executive support to the National Coordinating Committee for Government Radiocommunications (NCCGR), the peak body with primary responsibility for ensuring government spectrum allocations are managed in support of the COAG endorsed framework to improved government radiocommunications interoperability.
The Spectrum Management Policy can also be found along with other NSW Telco Authority Guidelines on the Standards section of the website or for more information contact the Spectrum Manage Office at [email protected].
